Sharp final workout before race week

This was a strong sharpening session. The faster blocks came out with real bite, and even with some GPS noise the workout clearly showed that the speed for Carrera Maya is already available.

The best signal is that you were able to hit several quick changes of rhythm while still keeping the overall session structured. It felt challenging and engaging, which is exactly the kind of final quality stimulus that can wake the legs up before a 10K.

The caution is that this was not a light effort internally. Heart rate climbed high in the second half, so the fitness work is now done. The next step is freshness, rhythm, and arriving at the start line with energy.

Takeaway. Good final quality signal before Carrera Maya. The speed is there, so the priority now is to absorb this workout, reduce load, and keep only a small amount of leg speed before race day.

Next step. Pre race shakeout. A short easy run to stay loose before race day. Keep it relaxed, add a few smooth strides, and finish feeling fresher than when you started.
