Easy run shows the 28 km effort was absorbed well

This was a very positive easy run after the 28.3 km long run: 9.0 km in one hour, with normal legs, low average heart rate, and excellent sensations despite waking up a little tired.

The lower heart rate during and after the cooldown is a strong recovery signal. It suggests the big long run created load, but not lingering damage.

The next workout can be done as planned, but the goal should be controlled threshold execution rather than proving fitness again.

Takeaway. The body is absorbing the marathon block well. Keep the Thursday workout controlled, then protect the weekend structure: easy Saturday and the Sunday long run with the half-marathon-effort block.

Next step. W09D3 Intervals. Four controlled threshold repetitions of 8 minutes. Keep the reps even and repeatable, using lap average rather than instant GPS pace.
