This was a very good recovery signal after the 31.4 km long run: 9.4 km at 6:46/km, normal legs, and a low 142 bpm average heart rate.
The heart-rate max looks more like a cold-weather or sensor spike than a true effort problem, because most laps stayed controlled and the heart rate came back down clearly.
The body appears to be absorbing the biggest long run of the cycle well. The next workout can be done, but it should be treated as sharpening before the official half marathon, not as another hard proof-of-fitness session.
Takeaway. Recovery is moving in the right direction. Keep Thursday short and sharp, Saturday light, and preserve Sunday as the real 21K race effort.
Next step. W12D5 Intervals. Short 10K-pace sharpening before the official half marathon. Keep the reps quick, controlled, and repeatable.
