This was a good pre-long-run easy run: 5.9 km at 6:48/km, with normal legs, good sleep, and a deliberately calm effort despite afternoon traffic and running after lunch.
The first two kilometres were a little quicker than ideal, but the run settled well afterward and finished easy. That is the right signal before a marathon-specific session.
The next workout should be treated as a key long run, not a race. The goal is to arrive at the final marathon-pace block with usable legs and execute it smoothly.
Takeaway. The body looks ready for the final big specific long run. Keep the first 90 minutes patient and save the real work for the marathon-pace hour.
Next step. W13D7 Long Run. Final major marathon-specific long run.
