This was exactly the right recovery-style easy run after the final big marathon-specific long run: 7.7 km at 7:10/km, with normal legs and a very low 137 bpm average heart rate.
The first kilometre was a little quicker than the rest, but the run settled into a deliberately calm rhythm. Leaving the watch running through some stops or jogging in place was appropriate for this phase, because the priority is honest low-stress time on feet.
This is a strong absorption signal. The fitness is already built, so the next workout should sharpen without creating unnecessary fatigue.
Takeaway. The final big long run has been absorbed well so far. Keep the next threshold session controlled and repeatable; the goal is rhythm, not another proof-of-fitness workout.
Next step. W14D3 Intervals. Controlled threshold intervals after the final big long run. Run the 8-minute reps smooth and repeatable.
