This was a very good taper threshold run: 13.9 km in 1h28, with fresh legs, controlled average heart rate, and excellent sensations throughout.
The workout followed the original Garmin time structure well: easy running, a lively but controlled middle block, then a return to easy effort. The quality section had some sharp kilometres, but it did not become another all-out workout.
The best signal is that the run felt energizing rather than draining. Finishing with more energy than at the start is exactly what we want this close to marathon day.
Takeaway. This was the right kind of taper stimulus: enough spark to keep the engine awake, not enough load to burn freshness. Keep Saturday short and easy.
Next step. W15D6 Easy Run. Short easy run to absorb Thursday's threshold work. Keep it smooth, relaxed, and light.
